OSHI already works phone-to-phone with no internet. A LoRa node takes that from across the street to across the valley — and OSHI treats it as just another way your messages travel.

Get a supported node

A Heltec V3 is the one we develop against. Anything in the table below speaks the same language.

Flash it once, from your browser

Plug it into a computer with a USB cable and flash it from a Chromium-based browser. After this you never need the cable again.

Power it on and open OSHI

OSHI finds the node over Bluetooth by itself. You press Connect once.

Nothing else

Your phone now uses Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, LoRa and the internet as needed. You never pick one.

Supported nodes

Every board here uses the same Bluetooth interface, so OSHI treats them identically. The Verified badge means we ran it against OSHI on real hardware — not that the datasheet says it should work.

Firmware

OSHI is not locked to one firmware. The app talks to nodes through a firmware-neutral contract, so a second family is an adapter rather than a rewrite.
