Every comparison uses the same criteria: the end-to-end encryption protocol, whether the app works offline or over a mesh, whether it needs a phone number, how much metadata it collects, whether it is open source and independently audited, on-device AI, steganography and censorship resistance, supported platforms, price, and whether it is decentralized or self-hostable. What makes OSHI different
