On iOS 26 and macOS 26, when both ends support it, sessions negotiate X-Wing — ML-KEM-768 combined with X25519 — so traffic recorded today cannot be decrypted later by a quantum computer. Hybrid only, never post-quantum alone, and it fails closed rather than falling back silently.
